You can do it forever.
This is the method I have used for myself for years,
And it is the method I hope to bring you towards over time.
I eat the foods that I want, and when I want to.
Everyday is different and I never feel restricted.
I have a set number of protein, carbs and fat to consume.
And as long as I hit those numbers accurately, I win.
This doesn’t mean I eat junk food all the time.
It simply means I can indulge when I please
The rest of the time I am eating well for my type.
Flexible Dieting or Macro- Nutrient counting or IIFYM (if it fits your macros) is THE way of building a world class physique without breaking your head over food prep, and getting bored with the same foods day in and day out while staring at that glorious box of cookies only to binge on 3 boxes later on because your will power ran out. Consistency is key in the game of fitness, and if you can’t be consistent in your approach, progress will decline as quickly as it rises and you will go nowhere fast. Flexible dieting allows you to eat well and according to your lifestyle, income and in accordance with a normal social life without feeling like a nutrition Nazi out to judge anyone who opens up a bag of chips in front of you. It should be noted that there is a lot more to the science of calculating and adjusting macros that the internet would have you believe, and that your progress might be short lived if you think you can read a few articles on the subject and yield results like seen on this website.
